Count yourself fortunate. We have 5 major hospitals within 30 minutes of our residence, thankfully our infection rate is much lower with social distancing. ICU can only do so much if you can't breathe. All the resources in the world won't keep someone alive if it's their time.

You're talking to people who don't know squat about rural medicine.

You should talk to my wife. In the early '70s, when I was stationed at Fort Benning, she worked at the hospital at Buena Vista, Georgia. She used to come home with her eyes as big as dinner plates to tell me what she had seen.

But nowadays there is a network of small "triage" hospitals that feed a large central hospital.

Network is thinning out significantly in some areas. One reason jumps out.

Flat landers have no idea of our reality and try to school us on it...I truly feel sorry for them as they fall flat on their faces.

"Flatlanders" as a bigoted reference? Whatever.

Was he admonishing Sam? Maybe there is hope after all.

I've seen the largest mountain in Ohio, I'll be damned if I can remember her name though?!?

Tallest peak is 1,500 feet BTW. Pretty flat by any measure.

The worst bigot's that I have witnessed are those who scream "tolerance" and show none. Antifa, the brown shirts of the Democratic party come to mind.

you would think that bordering WVa (aka Left Va) there would be a taller spot in Ohio,,,,

here near RVA, we are only a few hundred feet above sealevel, but are considered Peidmont (rolling hills)

Afton (1900') is about an hour west,,

we do have Mt Rogers, not quite a mile high

Witnessed? Where in S. Ohio have you seen Antifa or Democrats in brown shirts screaming at you? You wore stripes with plaid to work one day and got teased for it? Can't abide co-workers wearing earth tones?
