Air has been mighty clear here.

    Enjoy it, while you can.

This pope would probably feel right at home in the middle ages when some thought the plague was retribution for sins against God such as greed, blasphemy, heresy, fornication and worldliness. Now this pope instead of worshiping God, instead worships at the alter of environmentalism. Be glad when this socialist / communist pope has finished with his term and is replaced with someone that holds closer to the tenets of the Catholic Church.

This current virus outbreak is the likely result of the propensity of the mainland Chinese to eat any exotic animal they can get their hands on, sloppy lab technique in a Wuhan lab, purposeful and risky genetic manipulation of exotic viruses, or some combination of all three of these possibilities.

In Catholicism, there is a imperative to care for the poor, and also an impulse to elevate the pope, as the modern incarnation of a holy emperor from antiquity. Individual Catholics and non-Catholics feel the pull of these two forces to varying degrees.

Would that be Mother Nature's response, and is the Pope in direct communication with her? She did seemingly punish the Chinese population for eating bats, cats, and rats.
