Might Want To Walk This One Back

This is not a good quote to have on the record with a party that feels strongly about state sovereignty.

A guess would be that he was trying to build drama for some kind of "reveal" announcement on his TV show, and is getting ticked that state governors, having been told so far to suck it up and take care of themselves, are now actively moving to preemptively deflate any made-for-TV announcements coming out of Washington DC.

There is room for a Federal response. I have spoken to this repeatedly. But here forward, credibility for DC is earned, not assumed.

History shows many recoil at the thought of an oppressive Federal Government, when States Rights are in question.

I can't remember where I've seen that argument before? Hmmm...it will come to me.

Lyman would appreciate it if you would participate. You might enjoy it.

The last time some states tried to go their own way it didn't turn out very well for for most of the people.

Expect from Boggs? That ship has sailed IMO.

As for DC, either lead, follow, or get out of the way.
