    People are not going to be denied a drink with friends or even with strangers.
    "Charlie sent me" will get you inside.
    "You're under arrest" will also get you inside.

    "Cramming dozens of people into an illegal club during this outbreak is like dropping a lit match in the woods during fire season."

    A neon pink front? That ain't a speakeasy. I was down on Navigation in Houston in the mid-70s; one of my co-workers said hey let's grab a drink in place. Boarded up clapboard house, waist high weeds in the yard. Place was hopping.

    Let me find the link about the strip joint in Omaha that's open.

      in certain neighborhoods they never close,

      don't call them speakeasies tho, at least not around here,


      gin joints or back alley pubs , and I have forgotten the hood name for them,


      there are a handful in the poor parts of town here
