Yes, never commercial as I have preferred private planes. I enjoyed doing my ground school, haven't flown in years as we prefer to camp as we go about our way...never in a hurry. Early on my wife said that she would never fly and I never challenged her on the phobia. My Sheriff did my instruction as he was certified to do this by the FAA.

What about all the tickets sold in advance? Usually no refund, pocket money for the airlines. Airlines are out for big profits anyway.

When the taxpayer has to send them cash, being that they're short on funds, in part because they used them for stock buybacks, then yeah it becomes a topic of general public conversation.

Corporations know how to socialize their losses and privatize their profits. And they do. This is a critique from the Left of the current state of capitalism that everyone should agree with.
