    What

    ?

The story about the depletion of meat?
I saw this story about how a group was going to farms that were just dumping food. So, they were arranging to have trucks transport the food(after they bought it I guess) to places like Brooklyn or elsewheres to feel poor people.
I think food is still arriving at grocery stores. Freakin do gooders are messing up nature. How are we ever going to ever get rid of the homeless if we keep on feeding them?
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

Sorry DH, which word has you confused and I will try and elaborate. The jest is that our meat supply is in possible distress and I was soliciting comments.

Man does not live by meat alone. I'm much more concerned that one of my favorite foods, & one of the most intensively cultivated all over the world, chickpeas, has been gone from the local grocery stores (along with most other dry beans) for over a month. I understand how fresh foods can be depleted, but not how this can happen with non-perishables, like dry beans, which can be stockpiled by producers?

I believe dry legumes are recognized as a nutritious food that can also store for a long time.

We went that way a bit but also made use of our freezer capacity.

My wife brought home a frozen bag of cut okra. Mistake I think because we've never eaten it.
