Joe Biden forgets his speech is over, stares vacantly ...

Wife Jill rushes in to tell him his speech is over and he can go home now.

You used the right word (scraping -presumably, the barrel bottom) when referring to Biden

This is the BEST he will be. It will only get worse. Can anyone imagine how apoplectic the Left would be if this were a Republican seeking the White House with the same frailty, confusion, overt aggressiveness, bizarre comments, and frequent incoherency. He makes Ronald Reagan of the late 80's look like a 20 year old man. If the media and social media actively try to cover up his dementia during this campaign and dismiss it as a "right wing smear", it will be a collective criminal act perpetrated on the American people.

Nobody has to scrape. There are scores of examples by now.

My wife has had Alzheimer's for the last 8 years. He's progressing just like she progressed.

Don't know why you would drag your wife's medical history, as unfortunate as it is, into a political discussion on the internet. You don't like Biden, so you her as an example proof? Geeze I would never do that. IIRC someone got a de-merit for suggesting the condition is contagious.

He's just showing that his wife had a similar progressing pattern as Biden appears to experiencing....I see no problem using it as a comparison....

I would say he should leave her out of it, and frankly, ought to be ashamed of himself.

Time will tell on Biden, but his wife Jill, about whom no one has anything bad to say, seems pretty protective of him. It's one thing to have slowed down a bit with age. If he was having those kinds of telltale gaps in his days, probably she would have already pulled the plug on his campaign.

I know some people past 75 who while maybe not as sharp as they were, can still get it done. And Biden's moral compass is still intact, and in case nobody noticed, his vision for the Federal role re: Covid is much more coherent than Trump's.

I give you immense credit for looking after her. But no one is perfect and so let's call this an honest mistake, to drag her into a political discussion. I wouldn't wish that disease on anyone, and even though I'll never meet her, she's in my prayers.

Like that Seinfeld episode with the dentist that converted to Judaism, just so he could tell Jewish jokes.
