I just picked a tick out of my bicep. Teeny little bastard not much bigger
than a pinprick so easily overlooked until it hurts.

This device was developed about 30 years ago by the USDA, who patented it and gave the patent to the Lyme Disease Foundation, who did nothing with it.

                Deer feeders?

                CWD!

People who feed deer are part of the problem.

Deer ticks are primarily a fall problem around here, and part of the reason we have yellow dogs. I have had a few bites over the years. My clinic has this thing where supposedly one pill of doxycycline within 24 hrs of the bite is an adequate prophylactic. I am unpersuaded. Fortunately there are other ways to get doxy.
