We're in an undeclared war with China ...

This Chinese pandemic may have been accidental to begin with
but they quickly turned it into a weapon by lying about the ease
with which it transmits between humans thus paralyzing most
of the world's economies. The Chinese have been buying up huge
swaths of land here (most probably farmland) and means of
production. They own and manage much of Africa having built
roads, airports and even townships, run by, guess who. Europe
too owes much to them and will owe more when this virus finally
dies down and the damage is assessed. Many economies will be
in the doldrums for years while China will increase it's holdings.
The coming cold war with China will be worse than the one we
had with Russia because we will have been weakened while our
new adversary will have suffered far less. If the European and
Japanese were to go along with us by withdrawing their manufacturing
from China, it would be a great help, but that might not happen
due to China's ability to produce goods at such a low cost when
everyone else will be counting pennies because of the reduced
    ability at home.

You're arguing for America to re-engage in the world to compete against the Russians and Chinese?

If so, I see your point.

However you will have to reconcile that impulse with your general support of Trump, who himself does not favor such re-engagement.

Interested to see which side of DT wins.

Gotta say though I like the way you and Red are showing, each in your own way, how these conflicts are playing out in your minds. A healthy sign, IMO.

Well I will start this that I believe in UFO's, BigFoot, Ghosts, Champ and the Lock Ness Monster. I also believe that this virus was not an accident but a show of force by the CHICOMs to the world of how much we depend on them for almost everything and we need to kowtow to the almighty Chinese Communist Party.

We'd better hope it STAYS undeclared--the Chinese military machine has not turned itself into a PC social experiment, to accommodate the freaks & misfits of their society.

            Not this stuff again!

            1. Your side (ethnically pure armies) lost WW2, and your soldiers, though they fought valiantly, were defeated by soldiers from mongrel nations that showed equal or greater valor, plus a tremendous degree of resourcefulness in industry to equip their armies.

            2. Look at the gender imbalance in China these days, especially in the age groups associated with military service. God Only Knows what is going on in those barracks, and in Chinese society in general, behind closed doors. Probably a lot, since they really really really don't like talking about it.

The sex ratio of China's population varies significantly across age groups. In 2021, the group of 15 to 19-year-old children had the largest gender disparity.

Not to worry -- in a real war, freaks and misfits die pretty quick.

Probably Chinese troops are treated like the WW2 Japanese troops were. Beaten everyday into total submission. WW2 Russian troops were sent into battle without guns and followed by officers who shot any troop retreating. Both were killed by hundreds of thousands by Germans and U.S. troops. The Chinese don't tally troop loses like we do. They can afford to loose them by the thousands.

That's what I meant, a REAL war against an enemy which could fight back, not one against bush-league states like Iraq, Libya, Serbia. We were given a taste of what that would be like in 1950, when China was far weaker & backward militarily than now, & US ranks weren't filled with fags, trans-freaks, & women.

When I was in Singapore, I had access to the Military Library, and they had books you can't find in the US -- including books written by the Japanese, Chinese, etc. I read a book on the Korean War by a Chinese general. He told of finding a valley in Korea where children had been playing -- a lot of children, because the valley was filled with thousands of snow men. Then they discovered that the "snowmen" were the bodies of the division that preceded them.

The Korean War was as traumatic to the Chinese as it was to us.

The Chinese took note of what the US did in Desert Storm -- and it shook them to the soles of their feet. There was a lot of blustering about what they would do if the US used PGM on them, but they had no counter.

Nor can they fight us if we do not come to them. As Admiral St. Vincent said, "I do not say Bonaparte will not come, I only say he will not come by sea."

I don't believe we will ever see a conventional war between the Russians or the Chinese and the US. Neither sides have the logistics to invade each other. If conflict comes it will be in space knocking out satellites, cyber attacks which are going on everyday and bio which is going on now. So take some time and do some thinking about what has been going on in the past and the current situation of the world. Conflict is now multidimension.

Yes, their construction of the S. China Sea naval base, & recent threat to take Taiwan by force, demonstrate their dread of US power.

Threats are one thing, actions are another.

True, but that naval & air base is a clear & illegal action for all to see, & no one to do anything about.

Is it worth doing anything about?
