    Yes same story in NYT.

Shows how lack of early testing hurt. By the time NYC had its first confirmed cases, there were 10K cases in circulation. The virus had a full head of steam and went national.

Yep. New Jersey should have blocked the tunnel.

Testing was needed to know great numbers of people were suddenly sick & dying? What it shows was failure of the Dems who control the state & city to take the ONE action that could have slowed the outbreak--quarantine. Instead, for their refusal to take an action that might have jeopardized their power base, which is NYC, they blame Trump! But what else can they do--admit the truth?

Indeed -- it could have been ANY virulent disease, including one for which there is no test. Anyone with an IQ above room temperature could have seen that quarantine was the only answer.

In fact, that's what was done back in the 19th Century. I think I mentioned that Hampton, VA was quarantined and the quarantine maintained by armed men.

Let us not forget the major international airports had something to do with this also. People travelled to and from China everyday.

Indeed they did -- and a timely warning from China would have made a world of difference.

Of course! That was all the MORE reason to quarantine NYC! Those international flights weren't setting down in Mayberry.

Without a doubt NYC and then NYS were slow to react without evidence from testing. But February was also a flu month in a bad year. But let us not forget that the Feds controlled the air space and CBP operations at NYC.

If someone wants to ding DiBlasio and Cuomo sure, go ahead, but seriously they could claim they were just listening to what Trump was saying at that time and the only comeback would be "well stupid of you guys to listen to him like that!". It's a group failure, and since then they're trying to do it right in NY, while in DC it's still a comedy of errors with Jared F. Kushner leading the way.

Not one word about this report on any of the network evening news programs. To mention it would logically lead to questions about the Dems' response; therefor, silence.

Yeah but the "liberal" NYT had it.

True, but for every reader of the Times, there are thousands watching the evening news.

Your link is from msn.com! Seriously, you cannot claim liberal suppression! All you can say is that apparently you channel surfed feverishly to see if any of the networks covered a story and are disappointed/triumphant that they didn't.

                            Sure, okay.

The SD Sioux feel your pain. They've set up a checkpoint on US 212 to keep out of state tourists from passing through. SD residents and commercial transport are not denied passage.

They don't want the disease in their region. Yet the SD governor is freaking out about it, not unlike Cuomo would if a NY county tried the same. The tribes in theory have some sovereignty to fall back on.
