The Ladies who flew the B17s (WASPS) ...

It will be interesting to see how togor or one of the other stooges
manages to turn this into something negative.

Ferry piloting those ships over remote locations took some balls even if they were only the metaphorical kind.

In his book on the B-24 and men that operated it, Ambrose talks about how that ship required the pilot to have a firm hand on the flight control at all times. Probably need a big gal for that on ferry runs.

Yes, there are lots of people as well as Ladieswho deserve to be remembered,
but this article is about the WASPS.

Excuse me dogtag for not being one sided. I guess the other do not matter to you. These posts get side tracked worse than this, just a little bit of recognition those who deserve it.

I have a glossy photo from my grandfather's photo collection, a middle aged woman in a suit standing next to a mint P-38 fresh off the line. I believe she was an inspector at the SoCal factory where those planes were made, and his 2x mother-in-law. Really was a team effort back then.

Why can't you read and enjoy the article without bitching ?
You've always got something to complain about, you're a real pain in the arse

I read the article! I'm not bitching! I just added that not only the "WASPS" did a great job, but others did all so. I f you think I'm bitching for just adding that little comment, then I guess I'm a bitch and not even female! Have a beer and calm down.
