It's the middle class, where ever they are. I see a chick that could be protesting for civil rights. I see a big guy who doesn't get messed with much flipping the bird. They want to work and they don't understand what has happened. I think it's a dream sometimes.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

Well it's certainly true that General Trump is prepared to see many tens of thousands of excess deaths in order to improve his re-election prospects. This is war, sacrifices must be made, casualties expected. The younger crowd at that sparse gathering appears to have concluded however that the virus is no threat to them.

He's in their heads constantly -- he OWNS their minds, and they don't understand it.

Ray those are sentiments expressed by Trump himself. You're shocked to read them here?

The whole idea of the initial shutdown was to buy time to devise ways of dealing with the virus, to learn to ride the rollercoaster of cases. This assumes someone shares the goal of limiting deaths. If someone accepts deaths as just one of those things (as Trump seems to) then it's not so much a roller coaster as it is a mountain road with no brakes.

I'm genuinely curious to see how hard he pushes to get big rallies again, and what the demand is for them. Outdoor venues would be better, but the Secret Service dislikes them for security reasons. But 25,000 mouth-breathers indoors with Trump stemwinding for 90 minutes.... I would not want to work security.

The coup continues and the stooges hope and wish every day that tens of thousands more people die horribly so they can achieve their dreams of a utopian world where there are no freedoms to protest.

They want everybody to line up for their Soylent Green. That's why they and their ilk keep stuffing the box with more and more deaths that are really not primarily due to the virus. For example, in NYC almost 100% of those who died with the virus had at least one other chronic illness and 88% had two or more such diseases.

Red as long as you're quoting the NY Times in direct support of your point, here is another link:

                          https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...onditions.html

It shows counties in the USA where a significant chunk of the population is at elevated risk due to diabetes, obesity, etc. Interesting: almost the entire state of Arkansas is included.

Liberals are trying to balance the damage of the virus against costs of the countermeasures, and see government playing a useful role. Conservatives are terrified of government playing a constructive role and are therefore plunging ahead as quickly as possible to make the conversation moot, deaths be damned.

local liberals claim the virus is racist,

and due to that are keeping the city shut down a few more weeks,
meanwhile a good portion of the rest of the state is open,

conservatives in general prefer less gov't than more gov't , local, state or fed level,
