So Ray, what's the point? That election fraud should be illegal? I believe it already is.

What you cannot prove is that it happens on such a scale as to change the outcomes of elections, and justifies even greater restrictions on voting by honest citizens. Case in point, these were primary elections, according to the article. Still clearly a crime, worth prosecuting, but the guy did not tamper with the general election. I wonder...why not? Different rules perhaps? Also unclear if in these specific cases, outcomes were affected.

Meanwhile in NC, they had to redo a congressional election because of absentee tampering by a paid GOP operative, who illegally went door to door collecting ballots, and then tampering with them. Again, already illegal.

So are you asking for tighter voting laws or just continued prosecution where fraud is found to exist? Because if you are asking for more laws, you're thinking like a gun banner, only for voting.

Here is a PDF put out on ballot design. I mention it because poor ballot design is one of the sources of "noise" in elections, on a scale that dwarfs identified cases of fraud.

You might think that it is a common goal that elections should be more democratic, not less, and that getting an accurate measure from more of the people, not less, would be viewed as a good practice. This does not however seem to be the case. It is openly said, even here on occasion, that poor people for example should be discouraged from voting in large numbers because they'll just vote for whichever politician offers them free stuff.

Republicans might want to rethink that attitude towards the poor, because we may have a bumper crop of them in 2020, more than can be successfully suppressed.

Also worth reminding people that Trump's Election Fraud commission, run by Kris Kobach, came and went without coming up with anything memorable. They disbanded after one of the token Democrats on the commission sued over the fact that the Kobachs were withholding commission business from him, and a judge agreed. In other words, drop the whole thing before letting a Democrat see what they're doing.

Ray, information missing from the Breitbart link but found in the MSM (Philadelphia Inquirer)

In May 2014, DeMuro inflated vote totals by adding 27 fraudulent ballots in the primary election, 40 votes in May 2015, and 46 in 2016, according to court documents outlining the scheme and the charges against him.

So 113 total votes in primaries, not hundreds or thousands of votes to tip a general election, and he was eventually caught, because doing this is against the law. I wonder why Breitbart declined to give the numbers?
