                      Whoa! In most states you CANNOT use deadly force to protect property. You can guard your property, and if you are attacked you can defend YOURSELF.

                        In California I'm not sure that you can defend yourself let alone your property.
                        If you shot an intruder you'd have to 'Make Sure' he was armed. (Don't forget the fingerprints)
