Chaos continues to unfold in at least 140 cities

Chaos has continued to unfold in at least 140 cities across America marking the sixth evening of demonstrations decrying the police killing of black man George Floyd
More than 50 Secret Service agents are injured in clashes outside the White House: Rioters throw Molotov cocktails in DC while looters trash Gucci and Chanel stores in NYC on a sixth night of violence in cities across the US

There is no way you can justify these riots...The man has been arrested and charged.

Cleary the rioters disagree with you Ray about this being just the one thing. Have you tried talking to your local chapter?

Economists say that the expanding engine of American prosperity no longer delivers for the new entrants. Could that be part of the problem?

What is happening has nothing to do with George Floyd; only used as an excuse. Would he want churches desecrated or honest working people's businesses looted and destroyed in his honor?

Ray the killing was the spark but grievances simmering. If there is a protest near you then you have the option of asking them what it is that is on their minds.

Probably they will list a lack of good jobs and heavy-handed cops as Nos. 1 and 2 on the list. Why anyone would complain about either of those things....beats me! Who doesn't love a crappy job, or a cop who's being a total a-hole?

I have said for years that the poor have the numbers on their side, and that the rich shouldn't take too much for granted. People say that is a crazy way of looking at things, but maybe we're getting a taste now of what happens when the poor withdraw their consent from a system that they feel works against them. Where we go from here is anyone's guess, but the longer things go on, the further we will get from where things were before.

Alas Trump probably can't run on Reagan's slogan Are you better off than you were four years ago?

Ray don't make it about me especially when you clearly don't understand the post.

My observation is reality, not a political manifesto. As a former cop you know that if the public doesn't support the mission, then the job of the police becomes impossible. It's the same sentiment with different words.

By "chapter" I meant, the local affiliate if the "national rioters and looters club" currently organizing in your area. That's sarcasm.

Ray reply..I must be pretty dumb as I don't understand your explanation.. As you said..Have you tried talking to your local chapter?" That didn't sound like sarcasm to me. It sounded like I was being accused of belonging to that chapter..

Ray I'm trying to get you to see this as a bigger problem than people being PO'd over a dead guy. To hear you say it no one has any legitimate grievance except for heartfelt sorrow over George Floyd. Clearly their list is longer than that, but just as it took you effing forever to admit that the Floyd murder was over the line, it will probably take impossibly long for you to admit that poor minorities are not lying when they say the system is stacked against them.

And no, saying that does not mean I am proposing that we nationalize all wealth and redistribute it under supervision of newly-formed "people's committees", or that they are asking for this either. We didn't get here overnight.

Added: my point being, if people get to the point where they figure they have nothing to lose by challenging the status quo, then what's to stop them. Death by police bullets? That just breeds people with something to gain as in vengeance against the police and the people who sent them. Clearly there is a lot of pent up energy out there that has to go somewhere.

Have you noticed they have no solutions? Their role is to sneer at everyone else, and contribute nothing.

A small band of black thugs beat up a 7 year old white kid breaking his neck in our small town of 25,000. Protests are to be held Tuesday at 6pm. That gives them time to bus hundreds in from Chicago. Whites are not protesting here.

Ha, ha I had to go through 90 some posts and never found any thing were I ever admitted to, or ever said any thing, like that in any of my posts...

Again where in the post did I say what ever you mean, by saying it is obvious...
