Would this have happened if there was a Democrat in the White House?

The U.S. has hundreds of 5th generation fighter planes... F-22's and F-35's and the number is increasing thanks to the efforts to rebuild the military after Obama's cuts.

How many 5th generation fighters does the Communist/Socialist countries have (Russia, China, NoK, Cuba, Canada, Venezuela, etc)? The answer is dozens. Clearly, the reason is their poor economies.

The Air Force is strengthening its “Rapid Raptor” program designed to fast-track four F-22s to war - anywhere in the world - within 24 hours, on a moments notice, should there be an immediate need for attacks in today’s pressured, fast-moving global threat environment.

A couple of squadrons of Sopwith Camels would be too slow to be shot up by enemy jets
just like the Swordfish were too slow for Bismark's AA guns.
    Being obsolete has advantages.

Trying to get a lock on a Sopwith suddenly you're two miles in front of it. Whoops.

On the other hand, the old Brewster Buffalos were dead meat when they went up against the Japanese Zeroes. Modern has its advantages, too.

Recently learned Col Hans Rudel, famous Stuka pilot, was brought in as a CAS consultant for the A-10 design.

The A-10 was one of my favorite aircraft to work on. Truck with wings.

Funny, that's one I just watched. I liked how he thought the formation was for him.
