Not sure why you have to ask the Va National Guard to go to DC when you have the Maryland NG close at hand or since it's DC and not a state why not just ask the 2nd Marine Division to come and help out.

DC has its own National Guard.

The cops probably just had that photo taken with the President because they were on the scene after getting rid of the trespassers and still had their riot equipment on..You have Trump hate real bad..get help..

That's correct -- unlike other National Guards, which are primarily Combat Arms.
