No Violence In Newark This Time

    An activist explains why.

Short answer: Newark has a lot of protests and the police there do not get flustered.

Very good article. I remember the riots in Newark, Jersey City, and Asbury Park as I grew up in NJ and was 11 at the time. I had expected Newark and Jersey City to blow up again and was surprised and pleased that NJ hasn't had the problems that other cities are having. As the man said we haven't recovered from the unrest in the 60's. I can attest to that. Whats not said is its possible that those looking for trouble just crossed the bridge into NYC.
