The object of a protest is to get justice ...

But they already have it. All four Cops have been charged, the
kneeler having been charged with murder so what more do they
want, for him to be lynched from a lightpole ? So, with protests
still continuing after a week and after having got what they want
which is indictments, then the 'protests' are not protests. As far as
I'm concerned the ones claiming to be protesting are no better than
the Antifa thugs and are there only to loot or smash when no one
is looking. If you run with thugs, you're a thug.

DT there is a backlog of injustice in their view.

But dammit man you are right on the essence of it, that protests are about justice, about being heard.

No, the object of 90% of the "protesters." is to get a new TV and some great Nike tennis shoes and maybe even a cheese cake.

And you say this because you're out there talking to them right? Engaging in those civil discussions that are your forte. Sure okay.

Well what red says it true as it these riots drowns out any legitimate complaints the blacks in this country may have...I believe it has set back the legitimate causes they have by many years... Rioting, looting, and criminal damage that is occurring in such a large extent all over the country by so many blacks, just creates or reinforces the negative stereo type many people may have about blacks. It harms all the good hard working honest blacks in the county and it's a shame as they don't deserve that...

            NO JUSTICE NO PEACE!

            Yep, sounds about right...
@ least one had the good sense to wear a mask to "prevent" the virus...or being properly recognized. Is this the new "civil rights" that they are talking about?

What I see is any excuse at all to ignore the legimate message being put forth. And the world being a messy place, excuses are everywhere. So in this case, "yeah maybe those cops shouldn't have killed that guy, or that other guy, or that other guy either, but well, hey, Target so it's all good."

To those who are black on this forum I am deeply offended by these people as I don't hold ALL black's in the same category. These are thieves, criminals color is not the object to the picture. I have observed picture of both blacks and whites looting stores. This type of action will set race relations back, not further the black issues. We all want justice, we all want peace...this is not the way to get it!
The four former police officers are now charged and it is up to a grand jury to observe and assess the prosecutors evidence to see if the evidence meets the level of the law. If it does then there is a trial, if not they are released.
Was there a police review board to hear the charges against the officers or was it more politically correct to fire them? If the latter the officers could file against the city for damages if acquitted, I would. If the men are found guilty of a crime they should be punished according to law, not public opinion. 2,000 years ago public opinion sent the Son of God to die on the cross. Will these same four men be bound to the cross of public opinion?
With all the bad press and MSM agitation can these 4 men get an untainted trial in America? What is the difference between a lynch mob in the old south and the modern lynching of today?

Just my observation; There are 2 groups,1 trying to protest peacefully and the other bent on stealing and destruction. They should be treated that way, not lumped into 1 group. Go after the LAW BREAKERS!

any idea why Target was targetted?

limited looting here, and the majority were black owned business, , (who came out and said they supported the protests, but will likely go under due to the looting)
