    Facebook Posts

Gov. Greg Abbott called on two Republican county chairs in Bexar and Nueces counties to resign after they shared a racist conspiracy theory about George Floyd's death. The post was also was shared by the GOP chairs in Comal and Harrison counties.

Some people call for Facebook to police the site better because it gets used as a extremist communications network. I understand the point, but on the other hand, leaving the posts up allows them to be intercepted by those who oppose the extremists, and the publicity that follows has value too. Conservatism successfully booted out the worst of the wack jobs in the 1950s and were better off for it. Post Trump they may choose to do it again.

I dunno, he's showing stress cracks, and he's unable to tap into the current wave of resentment and propel himself with it, as he did in 2016.

post or pre trump, matters not,

fact of the matter is that Forrest Gump was right

        stupid is as stupid does,

you would think any political person would censor themselves on Social Media,

btw, if you are measuring that wave by current social media,, you may be wrong again in 2020

I would agree with you 100% that social media blows hot and cold too quickly to be a reliable metric. Re: Trump, I have a long time constant integrator (very low pass filter) running, which suggests to me a measure of fatigue about the guy, that he is wearing thin. It's clear that even he doesn't believe what he is saying 75% of the time. Really only the Twitter rants that carry a grain of truth to them now. The polite stuff, just a script.

Another example below of Facebook biting someone in the ass. I must say the whole process of the post-reveal apology mystifies me. Are people apologizing because what they said got out? Or is re-examination forced by having it reflected back at them? Just seems like there ought to be a better way to learn than by getting crushed by the internet.
