NPR says we should cull all White Authors from our book shelf ...

Speaking for myself, I have at least 500 books on shelves, in piles
and hidden away in boxes (I'm a Sy Fy 1st edn collector) among
other things, and without being racist I think if I did as suggested
I wouldn't have too many left. Apart from the large financial loss.
this has to be one of the most stupid ideas I've ever heard.

I have all of Van Vogt's, signed, Asimov, Anderson, Heinlen etc too many to list.
Sold my First of Dune a while back ($4,000) if I'd managed to get it signed ($8,000)
Too bad as Herbert lived close but I never tracked him down.

            wow, had no idea,

I still have my very worn paper backs ,

read most of Heinlein, Asimov, Niven, Herbert in high school and college (got in trouble in 11th grade English, we had a reading break to read The Scarlet Letter, which was really boring, so I had Dune inside the book,

very obvious, got called out on it, and when I insisted Dune was a much better book, my teacher agreed, but rather sternly insisted I put it away, )

I have read a bit of Anderson,

Niven and Niven w\ Pournelle \ Barnes, wrote a few books I would love to see made into a movie, if they could keep to the book, (Ringworld, Footfall, legacy of heorot )

big fan of Adams as well
