On line News Sites, which ones don't allow people comments?

Question on News sites, Just curious which ones don't allow people comments about their articles? I know there are some. And it would seem that they wouldn't want any challenges to their views.

As I always like to read the people comments on the news sites and I have noticed some sites do not allow people comments.

One site I'm curious about is the New York Times as you need to sign onto it to see if it does and I don't want to do so...

As I said above I always like to read the people comments on the news sites and I have noticed some sites do not allow people comments.

One site I'm curious about is the New York Times as you need to sign onto it to see it and I don't want to do so so do not know if they show any public comments on their articles, How about the Seattle times as you need to sign in also does that paper allow comments...If not, there would be no challenges to their articles..Are there any papers that don't allow comments?......

Some comments sections are only open to subscribers, and are moderated to keep out spam, pointless invective, etc.

Other web sites use comments sections to attract clicks.

It all depends on the business model of the site.

Their comments section appears moderated, subscribers only.
