With that statement, you prove your total incomprehension of, & disrespect for, the meaning of history. That statue was put up by people (the majority) who valued that individual & the culture of which he was a part. It's present location represents its importance to the people who erected it, so if it's removed to any other location, that part of its history is lost.

Looks to me to be a good shoot. I want all of you to pay attention. The young peaceful protestor carrying a skateboard, wearing a back pack and covering his face and head is not a peaceful protestor. He is a hit man in the mob. I have now seen various videos of people being beaten with skate boards. Why a skateboard? Because you don't think of it as a weapon.

I like that -- "the dark side of Spanish rule.' The Leyenda Negra survives to this day.

Here's an experiment for you: Walk down any street in Mexico, or in any Central or South American town and look at the people coming toward you. Most of them will be dark-skinned, with black hair and eyes -- obviously of Indian descent. Now walk down any street in the United States and count the people you see of Indian descent -- virtually none.

Now was it us or was it the Spanish who wiped out almost all the Indians?
