Black Law Students Association Presses Cornell Students to Boycott Professor

University's Black Law Students Association issued call to boycott Professor

Cornell University's Black Law Students Association has issued a call for fellow students to boycott Professor William Jacobson's classes in the wake of his criticism of the Black Lives Matter movement

A professor is being boycotted because he said That it was all a lie.
Brown wasn’t surrendering and didn’t say don’t shoot. And he wasn’t a victim of police misconduct. Rather than the “Gentle Giant” he was portrayed at in the media, he sucker punched Wilson while Wilson sat in his police car, tried to grab Wilson’s service pistol, and was shot when he charged Wilson a second time.

The Black Law Students Association is refusing to debate a Cornell University law professor over his criticism of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The Brown one was messy. As I recall, the cop really was justified because Brown was being aggressive, but at the same time it came out that Ferguson paid for local services with an extortion racket run though the courts, along the lines of what Red has described as happening elsewhere in that region.

Boycotting professors not a great idea, but sometimes they say really stupid stuff. Tenure is even better than a union job!!

Nothing stupid of what this professor said, It's just the real story but which doesn't go along with what the black students want to talk about. Have we gotten to that point that black students will boycott anything they don't like or want to hear or discuss any thing at college?....

it's the mantra of a lot of the leftist groups,

black, white, various shades of brown don't matter,

it's you have the right to say what you want as long as it falls inline with what we say,, if not you need to be silenced ,

WAY past that point! And few if any white students will dare to oppose them, because doing so automatically makes them "racists." In fact ANY opposition to left-wing politics is dangerous on a college campus.

Why don't colleges have Affirmative Action programs? They "celebrate diversity" when it comes to ethnic origin, but NOT when it comes to ideas. They should take positive steps to have professors and students with diverse opinions.

One gets a tremendous diversity of thought, depending upon the college enrolled in the university. My undergrad degree was from a college of engineering (Chem E) which was generally quite conservative. My subsequent advance degrees were from departments in colleges (Medicine) that were only slightly more liberal. The point is that diversity of thought is easily obtained, whether one considers Texas A & M or Harvard.

most do, or did , as far as quota's for the mix of students,

as far as the staff, probably not so much, but I think, based on some college professors I know, and what I have read, esp lately, that you tow the line or you don't get tenure or promotions

small sample, but I spent a short time in CC then transferred to VCU, , the CC was basically middle of the road politically,

VCU was overall considered very liberal (nickname was Viet Cong University) however several of the prof's I had were likely not (and one was a devout communist, and he let you know in his polysci class,)

How many conservatives were there in the Sociology Department? In the entire faculty, what was the proportion of registered Republicans to registered Democrats?

How do you reconcile that "point" with the student protests, if not violent riots, that erupt EVERY TIME over the last several years a conservative speaker has attempted to address an audience in any college excepting only small religious ones?

Narcissists don't believe in logic -- they believe their imagination trumps reality.
