Police were ordered to disable tires of parked cars via orders

Officers were given orders to "strategically" deflate tires during George Floyd protests

"The command was given orders to disable illegally abandoned vehicles via tire deflation of vehicles that were inside the law enforcement perimeter and obstructing law enforcement operations," These strategies are used for individual situations.

The Star Tribune first reported deputies with the Anoka County Sheriff's Office said were directed to slash tires by the Multi-Agency Command Center (MACC) on May 30 and 31. The state activated MACC to coordinate law enforcement response during the protests.
    There you go Togo...Lol

Yes a CYA admission given the video captures that show LEOs doing it. Parking lots, controlled by police, needed tires slashing. You'll remember initially there were denials, and the agencies don't feel like putting the people who gave the orders in front of the public to explain this most excellent decision. The question that would give away the game is: "how many slashed tire cars posed a threat or have been taken as evidence?"

State Troopers just parroting the line that worked for the Anoka County Sheriff's Department a couple of weeks ago. I mostly thought well of MN State Troopers. Maybe they've changed their approach and are more like County guys now. You want to steer clear of them because you have no idea what you'll get.

if I am leading a normal life, doing my thing, then why do I need to fear a Trooper or County guy?

Ray I posted two weeks ago that Anoka County made the same lame-ass release. Neither agency can really explain how their officers reached the decision. It's a CYA.

Well as explained to me, years ago, by a MN State Trooper, the county guys are hit and miss.

I rode a motorcycle years ago throughout N. Minnesota, sometimes a little fast, and had occasion to strike up conversations. You learn things.

Then there was the time I came over a low rise and the radar detector lit up, so I pulled over next to the patrol car and we transacted business. Wife was on the back that time.

As usual, I'm a little late to the show.

How does flattening the tires of a car un-obstruct law enforcement operations?
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

No tow trucks drivers would come in the are during the rioting I bet....Best to disable the vehicles until it was safe for them to come and tow the cars..

Tow truck operators were among those going "WTF is this?" in the aftermath. These were PO'd LEOs who didn't want to be there, taking liberties to vent their frustrations, and getting carried away. Not a good look.

never met a tow truck operator that gave a crap about what he was towing,

car A goes to lot B and pay me if you want it back,

                        emphasis on pay me,

"WTF is this" not in a social justice way, but in a salty tow truck operator never-seen-this-before way.

All 4 tires too. Make it extra expensive for people to get their cars fixed. Send the bill to the state or Anoka county? Sure give it a shot.
