More BS from the King of BS--this story has NOTHING whatever to do with taking into consideration the values of conservative whites, & merely proves once again that phony hypocritical platitudes like "unite" or "heal" ALWAYS mean just one thing: white surrender to whatever "they" want. The statues are coming down because the clearly articulated case for their removal is found to be more compelling than the vague references to heritage that are used to argue for remaining. The heritage code has been cracked.

And of course we know that if the case is put out there in the clear, with no cypher, then there's no plausible deniability to go with it, and *poof!* there goes the support. That's the the lesson of Talladega 2020.

If you have a case for keeping up a statue that also gives a nod to the legitimate grievances expressed about the Confederacy, then by all means bring it forth. Otherwise, maybe let the whole thing go.
