These rampaging mobs are like our rampaging mobs ...

Intelligence quotient is about the same I'd guess.
The only difference I can see is that these guys have tails.

When I lived in Singapore, there was a troop of monkeys that was so obnoxious the other monkeys drove them out. They moved into a cluster of high-rise apartment buildings. Now buildings in Singapore aren't hermetically sealed as in the US, so the monkeys were able to get into the apartments. They discovered toothpaste and liked it. One guy used hair crème in a tube. The monkeys bit into that and trashed his apartment to teach him a lesson.

The Ministry of the Environment came out and constructed a huge trap. While they were working on it, they accidentally sprung it and all the workers were trapped inside, rattling the bars and yelling for help. The monkeys were watching.

When I left Singapore, the monkeys were still in charge and people who lived in those apartments had to pay a tax, in the form of feed and fruit to the monkeys.

Substitute animals for humans and one could say this is Chicago.

In this instance, they proved it.
