Mask wearing manditory in all US Post Offices?

In NY & Vt, every PO has a "mask required" sign on the door. When I requested a copy of the official authorization for this rule, was told I'd have to file a FOA request. (Can you believe it, for such a simple request?) Local PO claims it's a nationwide ruling, but I don't believe it, so I'd like to hear from others in states away from the NE.

What's the problem on wearing a mask to protect other people?

If the "other people" are protected by their own masks, & I'm not spitting in their faces, or even coming near them, then why must I knuckle-under to their mask-mania? (Except to validate their own fanaticism, which, much as they may wish it, I have no moral obligation to do.)

Anyway, "what's the problem" was not my question.

        Some confusion here.

A N95 protests you. Those are in short supply.

The cloth masks, and surgical masks, protect other people by trapping your germs in the weave.

So the cloth masks you see are the ones protecting you. Yours protects others.

Some people are contagious without knowing it.

if you don't want to wear it,

tell them that due to Hippa you do not have to reveal to them the health condition that you have that allows you to not wear a mask,

              yes, it is a thing

Asked the county health dept. if I could obtain an exemption for health reasons--told there's no such thing. Could probably prove that's false, if I has 5 Gs or more to take it to court; I don't.

Let me put some statistical context to this discussion. Yesterday, Canada with 37 million people had 172 new cases of COVID 19. Florida with 21 million people had 8,942 cases. Generally, most (but not all) Canadians are voluntarily wearing masks and maintaining 6 foot spacing. These actions are simply common sense and common courtesy. Wearing a mask should not be a political issue and wearing one is not a limitation of anybody's freedom. Nobody should feel free to do something that is known to put others at risk.

Mark agree.. but there are some places in the US that will not allow you in, company policy, stores, etc.. without a mask. That's what CH is protesting..He is making it a political issue saying it's against his freedom of choice...

And it's the people who don't go along that put others in danger.

A false premise, because if the "others" have their own protection, & I'm keeping my distance (which I'd be doing regardless of Wuhan), not coughing, sneezing, trying to French-kiss anybody against their will, etc., how am I putting them at risk? I'm NOT & it's sheer mindless fanaticism to say so.

And if you think the Dems in this country haven't made it a BIG political issue, you don't know what you're talking about. Every time Trump appears in public without a mask he's attacked viciously by the media, while at the same time Biden is praised as a model of conformity. Social CONTROL is what it's all about.
