NO Evidence’ Russians Offered Bounties for U.S. Troops in Afghanistan

Pentagon: ‘No Corroborating Evidence’ Russians Offered Bounties for U.S. Troops in Afghanistan

The Pentagon said in a statement late Tuesday evening that it had no corroborating evidence that Russian operatives offered bounties to the Taliban for American soldiers stationed in Afghanistan.

“The Department of Defense continues to evaluate intelligence that Russian GRU operatives were engaged in malign activity against United States and coalition forces in Afghanistan. To date, DOD has no corroborating evidence to validate the recent allegations found in open-source reports,” said Chief Pentagon Spokesman Jonathan Hoffman.

The statement came in response to a New York Times report that claimed that a Russian military intelligence unit secretly offered bounties to Taliban-linked militants to kill U.S. and coalition forces in Afghanistan.

There's that anonymous! again.....The Times cited anonymous officials “briefed on the matter.” .............. Could it be Togor?...

If they ARE offering bounties, they're stupid fools -- we can offer bounties, too, and we have more money than they do.

And if people are TALKING about this, they're endangering the troops even more. Because even if the Russians are NOT offering bounties, people will think they are, and try to earn them.

At least the Russians haven't given them SA-18 missiles! If the Russians did give them bounties to kill our people so what. International politics isn't a game for the weak hearted.

I'm not certain this isn't happening.

I watched an episode on the AHC about secret "black operations" such as the group that entered Pakistan and killed bin laden.

These small groups of highly trained soldiers are becoming more common. They carry no ID or anything linking them to the U.S. The pentagon denies any knowledge of them if they are captured. They are not registered with any branch of the armed services.

With all of this going on you can be certain we have plenty of spies working for us and offer bounties for those who work for us.

As I pointed out, if they offer bounties for us, we can offer bounties for them -- and we have more money.

Yes it's possible with a little effort to turn this into a "nothing to see here, move along people".

Also possible to turn it into something like this:

More paid for propaganda. Anybody that believes this story is a complete moron and a fool. The rumor was never verified and Trump was never briefed on the subject. The casualty rate for our troops has gone down in the past months, not up. It is just more gossip created by American hating left wing radicals. Pure propaganda.

Trump won the election because the Russians persuaded 6 States to vote for him.
Trump peed on on Obama's bed.
Trump is Putin's operative and spy.
Trump wasted foods feeding the fish.

On and on non stop for four years.

Here's something new to hash out for the stooges. Tennessee Earnie Ford was a lesbian hater. And, in his hit song The Tennessee Waltz, is a clandestine anti gay and lesbian slam.

I was dancing with my darling (a woman)
When an old friend I happened to see.
I introduced her (a female) to my loved one
                      And while they were dancing
My friend (a lesbian) stole my sweetheart from me
Solid evidence evidence that Ford hated lesbians. And I am sure that at least 3 people here will believe that.
