When is this crap going to end, it's destroying our country

Demonstrations calling for an end to police brutality and systemic racism show no signs of abating

When is it going to end, it's destroying our country

Protesters at NYC's City Hall cover buildings with graffiti, barricade subways, leave piles of trash and throw clothes over railings after they celebrated $1billion being cut from the NYPD's budget

Protesters have been camped outside City Hall for more than a week calling for the NYPD to be defunded
Demonstrations calling for an end to police brutality and systemic racism show no signs of abating

The zone, dubbed 'Abolition Park' by it occupiers, is now rundown
On Thursday, clothing and sheets were strewn about and graffiti was scrawled on the pavements
Brooklyn Bridge City Hall subway station was barricaded with wooden crates, metal railings and other debris

Whose country is it anyways? That's what is being discussed.

On the argument that no one owns it so much as borrows a little piece of it for a brief time on earth, it would seem that the next generation wants to change the Terms of Use Agreement a little bit.

Maybe the next generation will all agree to go back to their native countries, That will solve this American problem on who it belongs to, And I'm sure they will do this because the next generation is so smart and peaceful group of people.

It should belong to law abiding tax paying citizens. But it is starting to not be..

Try going into the wilderness areas. Pretty much all granola types. Although my son and I did meet three guys in Wyoming who acquired their taste for mountains in Afghanistan.

Professional protesters have to protest somewhere, and New York is now it. Wonder how they get their welfare checks?

Logically, the ones who started & developed it, & made it great. Who, for the most part, would that be?

                      That's a pessimistic view.

CH argues for the economy and political power to be a legacy inheritance. The children of the ruling class become the next ruling class. By birth, not ability

Doesn't that seem wrong to you?

What were the two government expenditures after WW2 that really made a difference?

One is the Marshall Plan, to get Western Europe back on its feet.

The second is the GI bill. Those service veterans applied the same toughness and discipline needed to defeat to the axis into their studies and business careers and really created our postwar economy. A tremendous example of pairing opportunity to ability, not birthright.

                          Not their heirs.

A deliberate distortion, as usual. No "ruling class" could have made this country great--WHITE brains, ability & accomplishment did it!

Back in the day, athletic prowess was viewed as a proxy for national quality. In some totalitarian countries, that is still the case. Russia was going to have to sit out the Tokyo games because they refused to clean up their act with doping. Chinese view international medals as signs of national prestige.

Here is a look back at the faces of the Gold Medal winners in Rio in 2016.

The country will be fine. Different than for you, or me. But fine. Probably your grandparents weren't happy either with the changes they saw.

Athletic prowess didn't turn the 13 colonies into a super-power; intellectual prowess did.
