Sure it's wrong...IF they aren't up to no good. What "people" are doing it? Some cops do it because day in & day out, they're in close contact with black crime, & jump to the wrong conclusions; that's not a sufficient excuse, but it explains a natural psychological reaction.

What's interesting in the reply is that "natural psychological reaction" is an excuse available to rogue cops, but not to protestors who have had enough, and have decided that this time goddammit people are going to listen. No for them it's COPS SMASH.

I've known a few cops over they years, part of the biz I was in,


one thing you (Togor) are forgetting,


cops see stuff every day, and like most of us, when you see things every day you tend to react differently over time to those things,


cops, at least the good ones, can read people fairly well, and react accordingly,


and yes, some cops are crap, had one of those work for me as well, (had to fire the guy for stealing time)

anyhoo,,

here is what is forgotten,

if you want a person, or group of persons to change, then in some cases, you need to change the situation they are seeing,


you want an individual to treat you with respect, not jump to conclusions etc etc then clean up your act and don't give them a reason to think otherwise,

Lots of weasel words in your previous post. If you can, for once, show even the slightest shred of empathy for black Americans, as a group, then I'll give you a ridiculous amount of credit for it. But the bet here is that I don't crack the seal on that can.

Lyman says, cops see stuff every day. Of course they do! Black people see stuff every day too. What they tell us is: cops treat us differently.. You can either listen to what they're saying, or dismiss it. Personally I don't care which you choose but I know which is the right choice for me.

I read an article about some Detroit area voters. One guy observed, that what made the George Floyd incident different is he just let the cops kill him. Had he fought on the ground even one bit, that would have been the excuse. But they kneeled on his neck for 8:46 and he died. And for what? A bad $20. So now they protest, because of that, and all of the rest of it too. In my younger days, I might have thought that Chauvin and Floyd were put on this Earth by God to somehow cooperate in some divine plan to open up hearts. But mostly now I just see no hand of God there, just one guy killing another, slowly, in cold blood, because he could.

I disagree. What happened is there were hecklers telling the cop what he was doing was bad and he should stop,

The bullying cop was thinking this bye stander was trying to order him around, and, being a local bully with a badge, he continued the torture. Had the bye stander not have hazed the cop, Floyd would probably still be alive.

I despise bullies with badges, because they bully everybody, black or white.

If you are respectable to people and follow the laws, like the majority of most of black, white, or others people do.. you would be treated with respect. When you don't do so, don't blame anyone but yourself.....
