Today is the Fourth of July. In years past a lot of TV channels would broadcast patriotic movies. The Sands Of Iwo Jima, Over There, and other patriotic movies on Hallmark and other channels. Not so this year. I watched a replay of True Grit, According to the Stooges, the Duke was a coward and a draft dodger.

I turned the TV on long enough to watch an episode of the new Penny Dreadful series, then turned it off
shot a hi power match yesterday (what better way to celebrate?)
first time I had competed with a M1 in 18 yrs, did horribly, but had fun,
lots of flags in this area, one neighbor puts small flags at each and every mailbox in the subdivision each year,
and lots of fireworks going off last night, I live to far away to see them but did hear them till about 11
