Protesters throw Columbus statue into Baltimore harbor

Police on the scene did not intervene as not a priority to protect statues.............

Protesters burn American flags and and defy Donald Trump and risk ten years in jail as they throw Columbus statue into Baltimore harbor just hours after he called them 'Nazis and terrorists' in July Fourth address as protests break out across the US

Police were reportedly at the scene but did not intervene, as a spokesperson for the Baltimore Mayor Bernard Young explained that protecting statues was not a priority for the police department who were more focused on homicides and other crimes.

Protesters in Baltimore hauled down a statue of Christopher Columbus and threw it into a harbor in defiance of President Trump hours after he compared them to 'Nazis and terrorists' in his Fourth of July address.

Just one day after Trump warned that people who 'damage or deface' statues will receive 'a minimum of 10 years in prison', a group of demonstrators used ropes to topple the monument and dump it into the city's Inner Harbor.

Of WHITES! Don't try that on a statue of the "Great Demagogue" unless you're wearing body armor! Another example of what leftists mean by "equality."

Some cops may not like it, and people who think the job of cops is to smash the poor really don't like it, but so long as no living people are being hurt in the process, it's the better move for them right now. Again, my prediction is: the side that shows the most discipline will win the season.

Who thinks that? Another straw man argument. All those white college kids qualify as "poor"?

What most reasonable people think is that the job, or rather, sworn duty, of cops is to smash violent lawlessness, which in this case can be done simply by standing between the rioters & the objects of their intended destruction, not "smashing" or even arresting anyone.

I say again, what happens if whites demand "equality" by destroying images they find offensive?

I think they are smashing any and everything they can get away with, because they know they can. Police won't interfere because they are either instructed not to or that they may be arrested for for police brutality when the perpetrators resist and fight back! IMHO

The Columbus statue was dedicated by President Ronald Reagan in October 1984 as a monument to the Italian-American community.

The "cops must smash" caucus speaks. Smashing is by nature a blunt instrument. Cops know that, you know that.

I don't find statues of MLK offensive. So when you speak for whites you won't be speaking for me. Your faction is losing, even among white people. Great!

What a surprise! But what about the millions I AM speaking for? No license for them to take down, without fear of arrest, what they find offensive?

Got a list? Your millions, if not an exaggeration, are still outnumbered by the many more millions who don't want a racial conflagration.

This is a white dominated society, still. So tell me what minority edifices are a thorn in your side. The African museum in DC? The holocaust museum? Jackie Robinson's exhibit in Cooperstown?

What he doesn't understand is, when he speaks for whites, he isn't speaking for anyone but himself and his alter egos.

I bet a statue of Esther Williams could.

On the media there was a black woman saying that blacks have been fighting for equality and justice for 400 years. 400 years?? Where was that, 400 years ago? Certainly not in 1620 America!

Probably meant fighting against other Blacks in Africa. It's still going on.

My direct ancestor was the realtor who sold them their property.
