Conversation is the same reason I post about Trump. So now we understand each other, yes? We both post about serious problems in this country that need fixing.

If someone gets shot and no one is there to report it does that mean it never really happened? My point is are they just reporting more shooting or are there some real data being shown that more people are getting shot, When I lived in Brooklyn people got shot and it was never reported on news or even local news but now they report every shooting they can, I find that interesting. Im not a political person but this seems to be the reason why its reported more i bet.

Maybe the reason is because there is more crime, marching, protesting, looting, shootings, killings, rioting, destroying, and burning and taking over property happening lately then ever before. .Ya think...

Togor...I always understood your political goal....

          Interesting observation Mr. J

I live fairly close to Ft. Myers Fl ...... a Republican bastion.... where frequent, as in weekly, shootings have been going on for many years .

When I tell my family up north that they don't believe it... " Never see it on the news" they say....

but when they come down to visit and watch my local news they are astounded .....

three months after they leave they think I'm telling stories again... until they come back for a visit and watch my local news again

I live in Port Charlotte about 35 minutes away, Yes Ft Myers does have a high crime rate. But Ft Myers leans liberal.. the rest of the county leans conservative.

Interesting reply Ray from someone happy to comment on high gun crime rates in predominantly Dem cities as in " gun control laws don't work "

When faced with the fact of high gun crime rates in a predominantly Republican city you fall back quickly to " it's only in certain neighborhoods "

So.... who's fixing the problem better ? Those who tout gun violence in Dem cities ... or those who tout the equal gun violence in Republican led cities ?

Thing you have to remember the most when you attack a Dem city is that just a hair less than half the population of that city is Republican ...

... harm a Dem city and you harm a whole lot of Republicans that call it home .... and vice versa ,

call out gun violence in a Dem city with glee if you like, but don't try and say the Republican cities have got it under control .

all Americans have the same problems ...we're divided...and we're conquered

A pretty good post. The folks that take the time to register and vote aren't the shooters, but they have different attitudes towards them that do. The voters hope their chosen politicians will follow their beliefs. But politicians being what they are...
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

SP says..When faced with the fact of high gun crime rates in a predominantly Republican city you fall back quickly to " it's only in certain neighborhoods "

Ray says..I never said in certain neighborhoods, I said the CITY of Ft Meyers....As that is what you referenced

SP says..call out gun violence in a Dem city with glee if you like, but don't try and say the Republican cities have got it under control .

Ray says..never said they didn't, but now that you mention that..It is mostly the Dem controlled cities that have the highest crime rates..

Ray says..Now get off your high horse. You were the one that brought up the high crime rate in "Ft Meyers" saying it was a Republican city and I showed you it was Democrat leaning..

He has just said, in effect, that we should close down this and all other boards and end all conversations. After all, "By definition everyone has an internet connection right, so they can see for themselves." No need to discuss the issues of the day -- unless it's to express your hatred of Donald Trump, of course.

wasn't Sheriff Israel under reporting crimes in his area, including what was known about the Parkland shooter,
or reporting things in different categories to make the stats look better for his area?

don't forget, in any conversation here involving gun control, the Fudd always makes an appearance
