SP is right of course about the double standard that Trumpists live by. No one can defend him without debasing themselves. Many have tried. The Trump stain does not easily wash out.

It is not a pardon. It's a commutation which is a big difference. Stone is still a convicted felon and loses a bunch of civil rights. Trump merely commuted his sentence to time already served.

Not every clemency is a pardon.

If you don't like the President's powers of clemency I suggest a Constitutional Amendment relating to Article II section 2.
