Yours. If doing something, anything, purely for show, & as a demonstration of obedience, isn't idiocy, tell me what is.
This morning a Spectrum Cable technician came to my house to fix a cable problem I've had for weeks. (Which he did.) Came to my door in a mask "because of company policy," so first thing I said was "if you're wearing that for my benefit, you can take it off," which he did immediately & with profuse thanks, telling how he hated to wear it, esp. in this 90 deg. heat.
Here is a case of a good guy forced by stupid rules to do something he & I BOTH knew was utterly idiotic, but Togor & his ilk calls US the idiots! "Pitch in" to promote mindless hysteria? We don't think so.Comment

ONLY lethal enough to be affecting myself, my friends, & acquaintances, whom I have described in considerable detail above: SCORES of common-sense working people (no Dems among them!) defying your idiotic "rules" for months with NO adverse consequences! This mountain of real-life evidence you dismiss because it conflicts with your PC ideology! WHO is full of sh!t?Comment

Not where I live, that's for damn sure! And in other places, the numbers are artificially inflated because hospitals are reimbursed by Medicare/Medicaid at a 20% higher rate for Kung Flu cases out of the 100 billion $ slush fund created by Congress: https://www.hhs.gov/coronavirus/care...und/index.html
So now you KNOW "why that is," & don't have to keep pumping up the hysteria.Comment

WHAT bigger picture? Because it happens to be raining where YOU live, I should put on a rain-coat? That's your definition of "rational"?
It's any rational person's definition of CRAAAZY.
Explain the "joke" that's on me. You needn't even put it mildly, but explain it, please.Comment

From an interview with Damon Young, a black writer. He brings an interesting perspective to it, that seems to fit CH perfectly.
We've seen a lot of videos on social media of White people becoming belligerent and even threatening when they're asked to wear a mask in public. Why do you think some freak out when asked to wear masks?
I think White people have never had to be guests. I'm one of those people who hate the "shoes-off" house. I go to someone's party or dinner and I'm asked to leave the shoes at the door. I get annoyed because my shoes are part of my outfit. But their house; their rules.
One of the things that's happening in America now is that White people have never been asked to be guests. This all connects back to White supremacy and Manifest Destiny, where people feel that everything they see they have a right to. "You can't tell me what to do -- I'm a White American." And having some pushback against that is causing some hysteria.
You watch these videos and it's like, just put on your mask. For the five minutes you're in Trader Joe's getting your gluten-free lettuce wraps, just put on the mask.Comment

And it fits you perfectly to quote this anti-white writer, who's just the kind of nut-case who WOULD leave his shoes at the door! (I'd turn around & walk away, after saying "drop dead.") You've got to be working overtime to dig up this kind of who-gives-a-sh!t garbage.Comment

So if in someone's house, asked to remove your shoes, you turn and leave? Wow he has you pegged! Stone cold! The message is: you're too good for anyone else's rules. People love being around people who think like that. And it fits you perfectly to quote this anti-white writer, who's just the kind of nut-case who WOULD leave his shoes at the door! No, I have HIM pegged--a stone cold nut-case! Good to find that out, however, before he somehow involves me in something even more bizarre. Also pegged is your idiot "black writer," who obviously fraternizes with that kind of neurotic freak if he uses that stupid example to bash whites.Comment
