These peaceful gatherings have included setting multiple fires to the most fashionable stores in the city, interfering with the attempts of first responders to put out the fires, terrorizing nearby residents, repeatedly setting up tents and blocking traffic on the main highway entrance to the city, fighting with police, etc.
Mayor Kenney, a former union thug, has also taken 300 million dollars from the police budget and allegedly used it to fund projects for poor black people.
A related problem is that many of the city's middle class white people have moved to the nearby suburbs and have taken their liberal, left wing ideologies with them. The majority that I have met have forgotten why they moved in the first place. The end result is that Philadelphia is now the poorest of America's large cities and has the largest percentage of its population on welfare.
