Well the new generation hasn't built much of any thing of value for the future or the country. Theirs is..Take, and give me, and then take some more.....and burn, and steal yours, and murder too,
Togor says..People had done a fair bit of building before he came along. You mean like Obama. Don't make me laugh...

Hey had the administration listened to me, things would be a lot better off now. I told anyone who would listen that ramping up the supply of N95s would allow so many things to function better. Ever put one of those on, compared to a cloth mask? You can't smell anything.
But no, the businessmen cried. Please don't make us add extra capacity that we won't need "when the war is over". That's the down side of having a businessman in the White House (even assuming he was good at it), that their short term thinking clouds the right decision. Think: WW2 production. Ammo, rifles, carbines. Even then, the businessmen were squirming a bit, not wanting to just make stuff for the government for cost. Can't blame them, but there was a war on. If we'd had even a tiny bit of that right now, things would be much better off. Yeah I know, "ventilators". But ventilators don't do anything for schools and stores. So here we are.Last edited by togor; 07-21-2020, 08:55.Comment

good ole togor could save the world,
just ask him, he will tell you,
nevermind all those pesky governors with thoughts of their own,
no sir, they should have known to call good ole togor, savior of the worldComment

I must admit that I'm not a fan of the LUMP, but he deserves a lot of credit. When this whole thing started and all were crying out for everything to fight the virus there was NOTHING,NOTHING available to use. Where were the ventilators made? Where were the face masks made? Where were the gloves made? Where were the face shields made? And where were the paper gowns made? So where was it all made?....CHINA!!!!!! That's where. When asked to ship what was needed they replayed "Oh we no got in stock." lying sacks of SCHIT!!!!! NOW all of these are being made in the USA and thanks to the LUMP lowering corporate taxes these businesses that were forced out of the country because of Liberal tax increases are now back and producing. It's great to see small companies making what is needed like face shields and everything else. All the DUMMYCRATS have done is to try and make the LUMP look bad. (of course he can do that all on his own quite well.) But no help when needed from them. A do nothing party now (and going further to the left) except to shoot of their big mouths and its a shame to see it. I am glad I'm an independent and not a registered anything. I did not vote for the LUMP last time but I sure will this time. And more other independents I know are starting to swing his way too.Comment

For a guy who claims not to strongly identify with Trump, you sure seem to share his sense of grievance.I must admit that I'm not a fan of the LUMP, but he deserves a lot of credit. You know all of these big stimulus bills, that shovel money to business with few to no strings attached, are going to have to be paid for with taxes at some point, unless the government takes ownership stakes in companies and claims a share of the profits.
And my taxes go to pay for your retirement benefits.Comment

NO Togor. NONE of your money goes to pay my retirement benefits. Maybe 60 years of working and paying into my retirement had something to do with it. The only thing I agree with the LUMP on is his now disdain for the stupid people who are registered Democrats who can't see what is happening to their party. Just as it seems that YOU can't or won't see it. AND as to the Trillions the government spent. It sucks as the deficient is now 25 Trillion and climbing but it all started in the House and exploded from there. It will be our grandchildren and great grandchildren who will all have to pay for this BS.Comment

1. I'm not a Democrat.
2. I'm paying into your social security benefits.
3. Trump shovels gazillions if dollars at corporate bailouts and we get nothing for it. For the kind of government money pumped into the economy, how can we not be swimming in PPE and test kits?
You're a carbine guy, as much as anyone here. You know that those 6M little nuggets of interchangeable parts happened because government expected something from business for the money, and was willing to put people on the case to see it done. Tell me how and why some more of that RIGHT NOW would be such an awful thing.Comment

[QUOTE=rayg;590396]Yes I'm always ranting about the need to collectivize things.
These days to be Conservative you have to believe in something crazy, like Adam and Eve, Covid-19 is a hoax, black people want to ruin everything, tax cuts reduce the deficit, etc. It didn't used to be so. Conservatism, in some places, used to be about hard-headed common sense, not silly or fearful notions. We're mostly extinct now, true.Comment
