    One of Trump's Doners

    This guy is interesting.

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/nathanv.../#64cf5e0c6cff

His business is to buy mature software companies, with maintenance contracts that bring in cash, and replace their US workers with foreign contractors, paying what they call a "cloud wage" of $15/hr. There's no R&D, no perks, nothing of the sort. Just people with spyware on their laptops that allow US supervisors to monitor their keystrokes and screens and web cams.

And he doesn't need visas because he's exporting jobs, not importing them.

That must be way down on the list of things we should be worrying about. Haven't got down to that one yet. Is it below "Does Webb Hubble give Chelsea a birthday present"?

        [QUOTE=togor;590330]This guy is interesting.

Togor..How is he linked to Trump? All I saw in his history was that he worked in sales at Intel for 14 years before serving in the White House as an advisor to President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness. Since 2014, Tryba has been the right-hand man of Joe Liemandt, one of the most mysterious and innovative figures in technology.

He's a $200K donor (sorry for the misspelling earlier) for '20. I know, chump change to many here, but a significant payout for me.

His business model is to deliberately undercut Americans workers with foreigners while selling services to US corporations. Wasn't #MAGA about ending stuff like this?

Togor laughs and says $15/hour job is like slave labor.

$15/hour is more than most people are paid around the world. Here are some examples of average wages in other countries based on a 40 hour work week...

                  Columbia $3.77
                  Mexico $8.15
                  Italy $11.89
                  UK $13.73
                  Spain $10.74
                  Poland $5.15
                  Argentina $1.88
                  China $5.11

So, the guy being slammed here is doing a favor paying people more than they can earn working locally.

                    Red,

                    A $15/hr wage, based on a full time 2K hr/year (50 weeks x 40 hrs/week) job, grosses out to $30K a year.

If you make that, with no benefits, and have to find health care, housing, transportation, etc, plus find time to start a family, spend time with the kids (so no 2nd job), well you can see how it goes. Plus programming takes a 2-4 year degree to get started.

So he's firing an American that made $75K or better and replacing him with a gaggle of Ukranians, Pakis, or Bangledeshis, and pocketing the difference.

Again...how is this different than letting the Paki move here and take the job at $15/hr? At least then the money would stay here. The guy is exporting jobs, which is the sort of thing that #MAGA was supposed to stop. #MAGA IS A SCAM AND THE BASE ARE THE SUCKERS. Are the Democrats better on policy here? No they are not. But neither will they defend this guy the way you are.

More off the wall bull sh!t. He ain't firing anybody. Competition is what makes the world turn.... Beebee Aluminum was a company that made aluminum toothpaste tubes. Plastic tubes were better and much cheaper. Beebee went broke after 40 years... You would have subsidized them and toothpaste would be selling for $30 instead of $3.

If you can't compete you are bound to fail.

                      You say

The people he is paying are not in the USA and don't give damn if the same qualified employee here makes $50/hour. The U.S. has to compete with these POS countries wages. They are doing so by eliminating millions of jobs with technology. A giant Wal-Mart super center here has fired all their checkers and replaced them with self check computers.

How many gas stations still pump your gas, check your oil, check your tire pressures, and wash your windows?

Yeah, I understand the the gubmint needs to jump in and get them gas stations going. Just like they keep Amtrak going.

                          He's on the list.

It's entertaining for me to watch Red twist and burn, defending a guy who buys US software companies for their revenue stream, then fires the American programmers so he can outsource those jobs. Sad, but entertaining. Anybody remember the movie "Brian's Song"?

Look for "Joe Liemandt" in the list if you have to.

                              And it's $200,000, not $200.
