We're getting slapped silly by turning the other cheek ...

It's all very well being ultra nice and tolerant toward people bent
on destruction of buildings, businesses and anybody who opposes
them, but there has to be a limit to a Society's patience. How long
should we allow it to go on ? It's now been around five weeks
non-stop and shows no sign of stopping or even slowing down. The
longer it's allowed the worse it will become as the antifa leaders
realize they're dealing with a government that won't use excessive
force. They see no incentive to stop. So where does that leave us ?
At their mercy it would seem. I'm not advocating draconian measures
the likes of which China would use but somewhere between what they
would do to stop the nonsense and the pathetic measures we're
taking might give us some respite. If these destructive thugs need to
be shot, then shoot them. Better a few now than a helluva lot later
because if the police don't do it civilians eventually will and that could
start the ball rolling downhill fast.

Why do you say "we"? Are you a building?

Other than a couple of people here, everyone seems to have the same outlook on the anarchists, rioters, and looters.

        we
        /wē/
        pronoun
        pronoun: we

Used by a speaker to refer to himself or herself and one or more other people considered together.

Trump is starting to bring in the big guns now to democrat ruined cities.

States have rights and certain isolations against federal authority but not when their actions affect other states and the country.
