Interest article how Google is shutting out conservative news

Interest article that Google is shutting out conservative news an interesting read...

Election Interference: Google Purges Breitbart from Search Results

There are several ways in which Google is interfering in the 2020 election, but this article will focus primarily on one of them: political search bias. Google Has Been Purging Breitbart Content from Search Results Since the 2016 Election

A few days after the 2016 election, at an internal meeting later leaked to Breitbart News, top Google executives, including Sundar Pichai, Sergey Brin, and Kent Walker, lamented President Trump’s victory, comparing Trump voters to “extremists” and discussing their desire to make Trump’s election and the populist movement a “blip” in history.

True to their word, four years later, Google is deliberately working to interfere with the reelection of Trump in 2020.

There are several ways in which Google is interfering in the 2020 election, but this article will focus primarily on one of them: political search bias.

The problem is Conservative = Looney in too many cases, while we're in the middle of a shooting war, pandemically-speaking.

So you approve of blocking out free speech if it has to do with conservative articles huh!

People are free to shout anything they like in their own driveway. Or in the public park.

But if they expect Google or Facebook or Twitter or whatever to not have Terms of Service for what kind of stuff gets put through their servers then they're just expecting to ride for free, with no standards.

Should someone be able to post plans for how to turn a pressure cooker into a mustard gas delivery device on the internet, or calls for political assassination? You'll say "no", I assume, which has you taking a stance against unbridled free speech.

The article only shows how the liberals are not allowing that speech they don't like..And don't hide behind they have standards..BS.. All one has to do is read other stuff on their site to see they are only focused on conservative stuff...But I guess that's okay with you! As you don't believe in free speech either unless it's liberal..And your political assassination and mustard gas reply is ridiculous.....

Ray I'd need an example of something that was censored unfairly. We clearly agree that the servers are private property, subject to editorial decisions by the owners of that equipment, and that in any case, even if someone builds their own infrastructure, there are going to be limits on what they say, in the public interest (eg mustard gas and assassination stuff). Unless you can point to a specific example, you're just parroting Breitbart, which is a nothingburger of a complaint.

I'll give you two examples of stuff from the right that deserves to have to work extra hard to find audiences, because it is not in the public interest:

              1. Covid-19 misinformation, about alternative cures, masks, etc. That disease is a killer, no one should be effing around about it.

              2. Voting misinformation. Especially made up crap that is designed to undermine confidence in the voting process. These are difficult times, but we have to do the best we can as a country.

Added: Ray, check out some of the other beliefs of Trump's new favorite Covid-19 doctor:

The president is pushing the coronavirus theories of a Houston doctor who also says sexual visitations by demons and alien DNA are at the root of Americans’ common health concerns.

But, aren't the Dems basically radical left?

Being called looney by a Democrat is like being called an adulterer by Bill Clinton.
