Polls Show Public Wants Criminals Prosecuted, Police Protected

The vast majority of Americans believe criminals should be prosecuted and police should be protected, despite the anti-police, pro-protester narrative dominating the establishment media, surveys show.

Prominent Democrat Party leaders — from presidential candidate Joe Biden (D) to Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan (D) — have maintained that the majority of protests across the country have been peaceful. Many Democrat leaders have largely failed to authoritatively condemn the violence and destruction in cities like Portland and Seattle, drawing concern from Attorney General William Barr.

While the establishment media and Democrat Party leaders largely refuse to condemn the violence, nor express support for law enforcement officers working to quell the unrest, polls show that the majority of Americans feel differently.

Ray what happened to the Portland protests after the Federal Troops pulled back?

The withdrawal of federal agents from frontline policing of demonstrations in downtown Portland significantly reduced tensions in the city overnight.
Now it's just one night. And you'll say "ooh, liberal site", but if the report wasn't true, then you would be reading about it on Fox. As far as Fox goes, they've moved on to griping about the police overtime and giving recaps about the height of the protests.

The truth is that the property destroyers never had broad support, among Democrats, suburban moms, or the protestors themselves, however much Fox, Breitbart, etc., might want to play up violence and mayhem, and however much CH may yearn for a race war to watch on TV.

Also true that the Trump campaign pulled the plug on Federal troops in Portland, once they had data that images of moms, dads, vets, getting tear-gassed by Feds night after night didn't test well with their focus groups.

Did you not process the information? The problems diminished in size immediately upon departure of Federal Troops. Local authorities can handle it.

President keeps moving the date. (In his mind).

Local authorities just pulled back and allowed the demonstrators to take over and do what they want.......

Thursday night’s demonstration in the area was less violent, although people at times “lit small fires along sidewalks on surrounding blocks and attempted to light fires inside the fence at the federal courthouse,” police reported.

There seems to be little point in prosecuting criminals when
the democrat Mayors and Governors keep setting them free.

Trump has a chance at freedom then.

Fires that were promptly put out by other protesters.

You sound disappointed that things are calming down.

For Trump, this move reflects two possibilities:

A response to bad campaign internal polling data related to Federal Shock Troops,

A gambit to see if things get worse.

Trump like you may be disappointed.
