Ghislane Maxwell won't go on trial until next year and has
to remain in jail until then. By the time next year gets here
she will have spent six months locked up. The trial itself
probably won't start until mid year - knowing how slowly the
wheels of justice turn - so she will have spent one year in jail.
The trial itself will no doubt drag on for at least six months,
so by then she will have served eighteen months incarcerated
while according to law she remained innocent. Regardless of
whatever she may have been supposedly guilty of, where is
the justice in this ? Surely she could have spent that time under
house arrest with bracelet ? All in all it looks suspiciously more
like "Guilty until proven Innocent".

She has demonstrated a willingness to evade the law. She has the finances, etc., that would allow her the means by which to again flee. Would have to figure that she has no bail set thus cannot bail out. So ... she stays. No different than a offender who cannot raise their bail so they end up in the can until their trial. They are all innocent until proven guilty. But, they are not out on bail. Sincerely. bruce.
