Why we cannot stop the virus

The only way to stop the virus spreading is to:

    1. Find a effective vaccine.

    2. Completely shut down the world.

Consequently, even if all symptomatic cases are isolated, a vast outbreak may nonetheless unfold.
Here is a interesting analysis which makes the case you can't stop the spread without locking everybody down forever... and that is impossible.

Of course this study was conducted by a radical right leaning bunch of red necks called PNAS

Edited by Mary E. Power, University of California, Berkeley, CA, and approved June 23, 2020 (received for review April 30, 2020)

Typical RED, treating it like a binary proposition. Nothing is worth doing unless it's 100% effective, in RED's Bible. We know masks, social distancing, reduce the R0 for the virus. Not all the way to 0, but there is huge practical difference between 100 cases and 50,000 cases in a day in a state, in terms of the kinds of activities that may be possible. Discipline and sacrifice now, to benefit later. Unthinkable to some.

You apparently can't read well. RED didn't write the reading and if you had read the reading right, then you would comprehend that the pandemic is out of control and will still be out of control until a vaccine is found which in itself is as likely as finding a vaccine for the common cold. Other wise you would have to shut down the world and millions would starve to death.

The virus will continue killing and expanding no matter what Donald Trump or Cuomo thinks or does. In order to keep the food chain operating people have to work. If those kids working at Wal Mart get locked into their homes people will die of stravation if the BLM people don't burn them.

Most people with good sense don't agitate and lie.

Some scientist are saying that the virus will be with us for generations, perhaps forever.

Since the virus has been released it will live in humans and animals all over. Somewhere someplace there will always be infected beings so if the spread can be eliminated in one area it will only begin to spread again.

As long as humans travel the virus will remain. It will become just another ailment to endure like chickenpox, measles, the many flu's we have and the common cold.

Herd immunity and management of resources.

Testing and masks will help until either widespread antibodies or a viable vaccine is available. It's just that simple.

Masks and distancing to keep caseloads down so as to avoid overwhelming the medical resources in a given area.

Schools are interesting. Some politicians are demand regular school, and some districts are attempting to comply. If MLB is having problems with outbreaks, just imagine schools. If they get a vaccine, offer it to teachers as a high priority.

I thought conservatives hated schools, now they are demanding they reopen for indoctrination.

                Funny thing that.

It's being grossly exaggerated by the democrat media in order to keep the
economy shut down. Democrats figure if they can destroy the economy and
send the country into a depression, that's a sure fire way of winning in November.
And that is exactly how far they have sunk.

World Pandemic, it's not a manufactured crisis...at least not in the way they attempted to blame blue states, which which has fallen apart as partisan BS from the unelected Son In Law.
