Biggest Chicago Murder Wave in Decades

Protests preceded Biggest Chicago Murder Wave in Decades

Over 100 homicides made July Chicago's most violent month in decades, extending the rising tide of crime that, police data show, began at the same time as anti-police protests spawned by the death of George Floyd.

With 105 deaths, July was the city's deadliest month since 1992, but still only slightly more deadly than June's 92. The weeks since Floyd's death, in fact, are some of the most violent in 20 years of official data.

Because Lightfoot and her ilk will blame it on guns, not drugs, illegitimacy, welfare living, bad parenting, lack of community, and will push for more Federal legislation and regulation.

I'm asking because you keep posting this stuff. Asking for the reason behind it is fair. If you can't give one, then you're just being a troll.

If someone asked me why I keep posting stuff that reveals Trump to be a sociopathic, incompetent ass, I'd say "because he's the goddamn President, a job too important for someone who operates at a sixth grade reading level." See? I'm giving a reasoned answer to the question. Can you do the same here, with your posts of inner city mayhem?

Let's be honest. Nobody here lives within reach of a Chicago trigger pull. So nobody cares.

How ever for your info, I was born in Chicago and lived there for many years before moving to WI. One day while living there and in leaving work during the King thing..I had to take a big detour to get home safely driving through and away from the rioters, burning, and shootings...The entire city smelled of burning smoke...Took me double the usually time just to get home....

Another time during one of the biggest snows in Chicago...I had to drive to the big Sears store on the SW side to pick up my in laws who worked there as the they couldn't get the car out of the lot because of the high snow....Many semi trucks were also stuck in the on the streets and in lots as they couldn't move because of the deep snow. Drove them back a couple days later and all the trucks had been broken into and cleaned out.....

Interesting article comparing crime in the Capone v. modern era. Back then it was the Thompson and bomb, interestingly enough, now it's the 9mm and .44.

We've pointed this out before: traced guns come from WI, IN, MS, and the suburbs. IL has no state law requiring a police report for a lost or stolen firearm. It is phenomenally easy for a gang member to get a gun and shoot someone with it. And they're making new gang members all the time. To straighten out, Chicago would need, along with other things, a massive infusion of capital. Like so many other impoverished places, capital goes elsewhere.

Absolutely that's why it's important! Every black Dem seeks to find SOME explanation (other than the truth!) for the rampant crime in their neighborhoods. Why are so many blacks in prison? Oh no, it can't be because of their criminal lifestyle, it's because of discrimination by the police & court, & white "oppression" in general. And it's the reason every black Dem like that POS John Lewis is viciously anti-gun--the gun made them do it!

Well they are doing it with guns, mostly. But as I said, a trigger pull in Chicago affects nobody here.

No. This whole story must be bogus. Togor says "Crime is down!" Buy God if togor says it it is always right. That is why Hillary is President! Er, Ah, she HSA TO BE! Trump never had a chance and togor said so.

YES IT DOES, for the reasons Blackhawknj & I clearly explained!

Wait.... you're saying out of control gun crime might lead to gun legislation? Obviously the solution is your race war, yes? If none are left, the stats will take care of themselves!

What I mean, obviously, is that Chicago is more valuable to everyone here as a giant example of failure (so many choices!) than a sick place in this country that people would like to get better. Might as well be honest about it.

Not "might"--it does, as a way to shift blame from lawless blacks to guns! How do we stop out-of-control blacks from killing & robbing each other? Obviously (as black legislators like POS John Lewis never stop saying), take away guns from law-abiding whites!
