My biggest question is what happens when tax time roles up? I'm happy with the relief for the unemployed whose industries are slammed like the restaurants, travel, hospitality and the airlines to name a few and the eviction stay. This helps the American people. Now lets see the democrat's fight it.

Trump also lacks the authority to make the states pay for something he's not able to authorize. Salesman to the last. This is a memorandum, not an executive order.

Ray watch the news on this one. Trump has declared it is his intention to shrink social security and medicare by starving those programs of revenue. Will GOP politicians go along? Do you know anyone who participates in those programs?

What are the other forms of federal revenue? Fees, excise taxes, leases, the income tax, and tariffs. Of those, the income tax is by far the biggest, and also how the DoD is paid for. Trump's plan will force the country to reduce it's military to pay for retirees, or let the retirees descend into an ignominious poverty. Better still he's doing this as the wave of baby boomers is breaking on the retirement system. Sober Republicans, the few you will find, are losing their minds right now. If Pelosi keeps hers, rolls with this, he's given her a huge opening. This one is crazy enough that Trump might actually have thought it up himself.
