No. I don't think so. I think it's something else.
We could both be right. Outright criminality is also on display. That doesn't eliminate the fact that you have shiny neighborhoods a stone's throw from supremely sh*tty ones, with cops given the job of holding back the angry masses. It's one aspect of my Milwaukee youth that stuck....avoid Chicago if at all possible.

Another idiotic example of Togor's warped moral equivalency--a symbolic & negligible amount of property damage 250 yrs ago "just the same" as months of nation-wide rampaging, destruction, arson, looting that's STILL going on. Tens of thousands have been involved in this destruction, but HE says it's mostly peaceful???

Yes, I agree that Lightfoot and her ilk are, to quote a conservative commentator from NJ, the late Alan Caruba, "in love with their sexuality" and loudly proclaim it the same way many of us proclaim our veteran status, the difference is that we veterans did something FOR our country and for most of us veteran status is not the be all and end all of our existence and many of us do not even advertise it. I do get a lot of strange looks when I wear my "Spanish-American War Veteran" hat.
And again, I leave the ad hominem attacks and the childish name calling to the Lefties. What is the conservative retort to "racist-sexist-homophobe" ? None, of course.
