Marijuana use during pregnancy linked to autism in babies...

...These results were just reported in a large study. But how can this be true? President Obama assured all of us how safe it was. And now many states have also approved this for recreational use.

Believe me, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Our knowledge of the ill effects of marijuana are about the same as what we knew about the consequences of smoking in 1920.

And about the year 2100, there will be lawsuits out the gazoo, and states will be screaming about how the marijuana industry deliberately produced extra-potent weed to get people hooked, and so on.

All the crack babies are big enough to get out on the street now. It isn't known why yet, but they all seem to want to kill each other, steal something, or start a fire.

Another bunch of research says canabis improves the brain's ability
          to do something or other.
I figure most of this research is nothing but crap.

Psychedelics- read there is interest in doing research on ecstasy, lsd, peyote(rooms?) . Possible benefits re psychiatry, mental well being. Govt regs interfere with this.

Apparently, many can do drugs recreationally and not become addicted. And, some do become addicts.

Whitney Houston, as an example. Meth etc.Went thru a whole lotta money. Liked meth-missing 11 or 13 upper teeth re meth mouth. Sad. Bad boys, black culture-not always good.

              War on drugs has failed.

And cost a fortune. And put a lot of users in jail.

Maybe govt is trying to earn some big bux by taxing weed heavily. Price of govt auth weed is very high. In Ohio, govt has authorized licenses to produce and sell weed to a "select few" producers/sellers. So , I think govt has given up re weed, now, just want to make sure they get a big share of consumer dollar. I do not know how much tax is placed on alcohol, assume it is high. Cigarrettes- wow. If I drank, smoked, I would brew, distill, grow tobacco and weed . Of course, I think govt likes to confiscate your house and property, if you grow weed on it. Penalties, a bit stiff for dealers also. If you don't buy a ticket, you can't win.

Yes, owning a gun will turn you into a crazed killer, but taking drugs will make you sweet and wonderful.
The women who use drugs while pregnant are the ones who will use their children as "meal tickets" as a New Jersey judge put it. And many companies are requiring drug testing of employees for safety purposes and ensuring efficiency.

A neighbor of mine, who is admittedly smart and hard working, got a job on a drilling rig during the natural gas boom. He went right up the ladder and became supervisor over several drilling rigs. His explanation of his success? "I was the only one who always passed the drug tests."
