Amazing video appears to show a hungry Black Bear taking a seat at a picnic table with a group enjoying lunch in remote Maryland woodland last Thursday

Kaitlyn Nesbit, who posted the video to social media, says she shot the footage at a cabin in Deep Creek

The creature casually waits while the group makes it peanut butter sandwiches
It then eats its meal straight out of their hands. Some at the table nervously look away as the bear stays for further snacks

The animal poses for a few selfies before disappearing back into the woods

But wildlife experts have frequently warned people NOT to feed wild bears, as they get accustomed to the food and can become a threat to humans and it is illegal to feed bears in Maryland ..Hope they don't get in trouble!

Taking liberties with wildlife is not wise.

Prairie dogs, ground squirrels and plaque. Injuries from deer.Charged and ... by bison. Moose. Heard that an Akron, Ohio md, years ago, was stomped by a moose. Don't know what the result was. Rabid coons, skunks,dogs. Cat scratch fever. Vet was bitten by cat, end of a career. Had disability ins tho , so worked out-sort of. Rabies, not sure what mammals can be infected and therefore can infect you. Perhaps, all mammals? Bats have viruses. Some of the nasty tropical viruses have host populations in monkeys and apes. Bush meat in Africa. Have heard if blood from infected raccoon is on a cut, you can be infected. Ticks carrying disease, also mosquitoes. Chiggers? Connection between pigs and waterfowl, esp. in China.Tapeworms, liver flukes, list doesn't end. Yul Bryner had trichinosis from restaurant pork. Not much of a problem in usa now. 145 degrees does the trick. Be careful with bear meat tho, esp dump scavengers.

Well,that's depressing. So Bambi's dad might have been shot through with syphilis. Good riddance I say. I buddy of mine sent me a vid a guy took of a guy(I think it was a co-worker) who got "danced on" by a moose in downtown Anchorage(had to get just a little too close). The guy died. Moose are seriously big deer and they have sharp hooves and like to pounce on things they don't like. Ticks, yuk. Then there was the "bear talker". Look for the vid. I've seen the photos of a guy who got pounced on by an Alaskan Grz or Brown bear(some bare bone). They found the rest of him in the bears stomach. The bears paws were the size of a small frying pan. That's the big animals you can see(and avoid if you have any brains). It's the creepy little stuff that I actually am afraid of. Chiggers, man I never want to get near chiggers again or that rare African cattle tick thing that unbelievable I got up in Flagstaff Arizona. It only lasted a three days.

If I lived in your area my main concern would be those scorpions. Running across one in the yard is one thing, getting one in your house is another.

My wife got stung twice -- the same way. She would leave clothes piled on the bathroom counter, and when she swept them up there was a scorpion in the bundle. She quit doing it after the second time.

I don't like having a bug crawl across my face while I'm asleep in bed. I was once stung on the neck by a honey bee at 3:00am (no I don't live in a barn). "Things" seem to find their way into your house and find you interesting while you are asleep.

I think if I lived where scorpions roam I wouldn't get much sleep and become paranoid at times. I don't care for the element of surprise.

Just watch where you put your hands. There is, or was, a video on the net showing a house in Texas where they were pulling about 40 rattlesnakes out of the crawl space.

Henry Ford used this moss to stuff seat cushions on the model "T's".

The moss sometimes houses "red bugs", a type of chigger or mite. People started complaining about being bit and the itching while sitting on the seats.

The solution was to boil the moss before using it to kill the mites.

It was the first automotive "recall".
