Both are screaming to have ALL guns confiscated! Or, as they word it "mandatory gun buy backs". AR rifles to be banned.
My question is: How are they gonna confiscate the guns that gangs/criminals have? Answer: They won't!
Question: How are they gonna find everyones guns? I know people who have owned guns for decades and they were never registered when purchased. Are they gonna rely on your neighbor to turn you in?
I know our 3 stooges own guns. Will they smile as their guns are confiscated?

Gun restrictions follow gun violence. Too much of the one brings the other. Different people have different thresholds for it. Stray rounds fired in a back alley in Little Rock don't travel all of the way to the Ozarks, for example. (However a vote cast in Little Rock in a state-wide election *does* fly all of the way to the Ozarks, metaphorically speaking, which goes a long way to explain the difference in attitudes towards voting regs and gun regs.)

But not the first thing! Purging the institutions of government to those found to be insufficiently loyal to the regime always takes top priority. Because without loyalists at the helm of these key institutions, they cannot be used to further the regime's power interests. Trump is rightly criticized for his tendency to replace competent officials with loyalist cronies, whom he doesn't even bother to submit to the Senate for confirmation, leaving them in "acting" positions, in defiance of the law.

Nothing would have slowed it down? Tell that to the South Koreans. The Kiwis. Even the Italians. Objective proof of the Trump Administration's lack of competence in comparison. The guy holding the office that is said to make him "the most powerful man in the world" couldn't even rouse himself to make a serious effort, leading to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans by the time it's all over.
